This is the Christian Home School Teachers' Lounge Blog. Swing the door wide, come on in, and make yourself comfortable. Got the kiddos all engaged in meaningful activity? Or maybe you need some quick ideas for getting your non-reader excited about books. Perhaps you're having a rough day and you just need to vent. Well, you've come to the right place. This is where fellow home school teachers come to dialogue.
When Sarah was in the fifth grade she completed a research paper on Anne Frank. Sarah discovered that Anne received a special present from her father which would become quite an important gift. It was a beautiful checkered diary. Sarah thought it was especially interesting that Anne named her diary--Kitty. From this teenager’s scribbled notes emerged a dramatic view of life for the Jewish population during WWII.
A blog (short for web log) is a great deal like a diary. A short personal entry is written regularly in order to document the important events of the week. Most blogs are centered around a theme. Mine focuses on topics of interest to homeschooling parents. The writing is journal-like and therefore somewhat informal. The length of each entry is meant to be approximately e-mail or diary-page length. If it gets longer than that--the fun has left for me and you are probably no longer reading it. I hope you will check this page often and post comments when you are able.
