A Beka Book allows you to browse the catalog online or download the catalog. If you browse online you’ll need to set up an account and log in. Educational resources can also be downloaded (such as phonics helps and Scope and Sequence by grade). You can also order online. Bob Jones University Press has several free catalogs available online. The Home School Start up Packet includes all of them: The Textbook for Home Schools Catalog, Home Education Services Catalog, the Showforth Catalog (visual media), and the Soundforth Catalog (sacred recordings and sheet music).
Christian Book Distributors (CBD) has a home school catalog that is the most comprehensive one I’ve seen. Every year CBD publishes an expanded issue that is phenomenal. All 127 pages of my copy are weary-worn with use by now. I love the way the catalog is organized by subject (by page and in the index). Every curriculum/product comes with a detailed description. There are also reviews of products by well-known home school parents and educators. You can request a catalog by e-mail or phone (1-800-247-4784). However, the online shop is the way to go. Why? The catalog only includes about 20% of the 30,000 homeschool resources stocked in CBD’s warehouse. Plus there are web-only closeouts with savings up to 85%. Go to the CBD home page (below) and click the catalog shopping button if you want to peruse the catalog or just look around the site by category.
Here is a word of caution!!! CBD's timer expires after only 45 minutes. That means you must purchase items within that time frame or the credit to this site is lost.
